Astro Bot Crowned Sport of the Year at New York Sport Awards 2025

Team Asobi’s platformer garnered three accolades, including Best Youth Game and Outstanding Music in a Game.

The 14th annual New York Game Awards occurred last night, with Astro Bot being awarded Game of the Year.

Team Asobi’s platformer was nominated for four honors, winning three including Best Youth Game and Outstanding Music in a Game.

FromSoftware’s Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree was also a significant winner, receiving accolades for Best World and Best DLC.

Mossmouth’s UFO 50 took home Best Indie Game, while MiHoYo’s Zenless Zone Zero secured the award for Best Mobile Game and Camouflaj’s Batman: Arkham Shadow won Best AR/VR Game.

Troy Baker was honored with the award for Best Performance in a Game for his role as Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Big Circle. The award was presented by Alan Wake and Control actor Matthew Porretta.

Additionally, Studio Zero’s Metaphor: ReFantazio won for Best Writing in a Game, while Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 received accolades for Best Remake. The indie sensation Mouthwashing was recognized as the Best Hidden Gem.

Solve’s creative director Sam Lake received the Andrew Yoon Legend Award for his contributions to the Finnish developer since 1995.
