Astro Bot Takes Center Stage at Weekend PlayStation Event

Crew Asobi has unexpectedly introduced a previously-unknown Astro Bot speedrun level.

Unveiled at this weekend’s PlayStation event, the level – which you can view below – witnessed speedrunners tackle the challenging stage to achieve the quickest completion time in a bid to claim the top spot.

The two finalists were granted 5 attempts to achieve the fastest time on a notoriously tricky stage, utilizing the flower umbrella and slow-motion to accelerate their run as much as possible.

Crew Circle’s Rhys clinched victory with an impressive run time of 34.51.6 seconds, narrowly surpassing Crew Square’s remarkable 34.84.1 seconds.

No information was provided by the commentary team regarding whether the public will eventually get a chance to face the challenge, but fans of Bot remain optimistic that Crew Asobi hasn’t entirely ruled out including a playful cameo or two, considering numerous characters hinted at in the credits are yet to be discovered.
