Artistic Showdown: The Battle of Creativity

Greetings to another edition of Box Art Brawl, everyone!

Last week, Klonoa: Empire of Dreams was in the limelight, with North America, Europe, and Japan all competing for the top honor (and yes, we accidentally referred to it as a ‘duel’ – our apologies for that). Nevertheless, with its bold and straightforward design, Europe’s version triumphed for the week, securing 51% of the votes. Japan followed with 38%, while the less we say about North America’s unfortunate variant, the better.

This time, to evaluate the presentation of Mario Kart 9 for the Nintendo Switch 2, we are revisiting the N64 era to look at Mario Kart 64. The design for this title remains largely the same for both North America and Europe (with the addition of borders for European regions), thus both will join forces to challenge Japan.
