Winking Studios Sets Its Sights on Acquiring Mineloader

Outsourcing and modeling firm Winking Studios has revealed its plans to acquire the Shanghai-based studio Mineloader.

The total consideration amounts to £16.3 million, which includes an initial payment of £14.7 million alongside a contingent balance that will depend on the studio’s performance over the next five years.

The closing of the proposal is expected to take place in the second quarter of 2025.

“This represents our largest acquisition to date and signifies a crucial advancement that strengthens our position within the global video game sector,” commented Winking Studios founder and CEO Johnny Jan.

“With Mineloader’s team of over 460 personnel, we will significantly enhance Winking Studios’ current workforce of more than 800, expanding our service capabilities in this field and attracting new clients.”

Jan added: “Mineloader excels in console platform development.”
