Microsoft Plans Extended Commitment to Employee Engagement
Staff in gaming, security, and sales sectors impacted
Microsoft has commenced yet another wave of job cuts, impacting staff members in its gaming, security, and sales sectors.
According to Business Insider, a representative for the company stated that these reductions would affect a small number of employees but did not clarify how many might be laid off.
They also pointed out that these job cuts were not related to the layoffs announced last week which targeted underperforming employees.
“At Microsoft, we prioritize high-performance talent,” the representative mentioned (via CNBC). “We are continually striving to assist individuals in learning and growing. When performance issues arise, we take necessary actions.”
Last year, Microsoft reduced its workforce by 1,900 employees in its gaming division, followed by another round in September 2024 impacting 650 employees.
