We are looking for you, Jason
Xbox executive Jason Ronald is now officially designated as the ‘VP of next-generation’ at Microsoft, with the Xbox Series X|S architect currently leading the planning for the team’s future console projects. Given his recent designation, it is potentially noteworthy that Ronald seems to believe that Xbox consoles are here to stay.
Amid his extremely packed schedule at Microsoft headquarters, the Xbox executive has been browsing Twitter, the poor soul. Nevertheless, one can occasionally spot an interesting post from him, as Ronald appears to resonate with YouTuber Deadly Headley’s latest analysis of Xbox’s future.
In that analysis, which we discussed here at Pure Xbox, the YouTube channel compellingly expressed its viewpoint on Microsoft’s recent ‘Here’s an Xbox’ advertisement campaign. In that video, the presenter elaborated on Xbox expanding its platforms recently rather than eliminating any particular one—something that Ronald evidently concurs with.
Xbox enthusiasts are loyal, so naturally, they’ve noticed this small bit of Twitter activity and shared it for everyone to see. While it may not be groundbreaking news about the next-generation Xbox itself, it is still encouraging to see that the individual at the helm of these future plans genuinely believes in Microsoft’s commitment to continue supporting gaming consoles in the years ahead.
