Some worthwhile offers, some that are not as appealing anymore
A number of Xbox Store promotions have launched today, as is customary for a Tuesday, and we believe the standout event this week is the team’s ‘Buy 1, Get 2 Free‘ indie game sale that we’re currently observing on our consoles.
Do not misunderstand us, not everything in this sale is an exceptionally good bargain, but there are some solid choices available – especially if you focus on more recent indie titles around the £15 / $20 price point. As the title indicates, if you purchase three games from this selection, you’ll only need to pay for the most expensive game; the other two will be completely free.
Untitled Goose Game, Braid Anniversary Edition, and Loot River appear to be appealing based on their prior sale prices, but it is advisable to steer clear of titles such as The Sinking City at $45, which has recently been as low as $5 in earlier promotions!
Regarding Microsoft’s additional digital offers running at the moment, we have a Publisher Spotlight sale and an EA Sports promo in addition to Xbox’s routine array of Game Pass member deals. While none of these offers are particularly substantial following recent year-end sales, they’re always worth checking out on the console to see if something piques your interest.
Are there any Xbox indie titles that you are eyeing in this new promotion? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments!
