Shock Legends Studios Secures $1 Million in Pre-Seed Funding to Fuel Innovative Game Development
Polish-based studio developing a game and pre-producing an entertaining series as a transmedia project
Polish transmedia creator Wonder Legends Studio has secured $1 million in a pre-seed funding round led by SMOK Ventures.
WLS is developing a game prototype and pre-producing an entertaining series through a European co-production initiative.
The game received co-funding from The Creative Industries Development Center, while the series was co-funded by the Polish Film Institute. Additionally, the studio obtained an Epic MegaGrant.
Both projects are being developed in Unreal Engine 5 and are set in a world blending Greek mythology and steampunk elements. The inaugural seasons of the game and the series are expected to launch in late 2027 or early 2028.
WLS was established in 2023 by Artur Malczyk and Wojciech Karubin, with both projects in progress since 2019. The studio currently comprises 15 industry professionals.
“We are excited to have completed the pre-seed funding round with SMOK Ventures as our leading investor, especially in such a tough market as today,” stated WLS founders Malczyk and Karubin.
“This is a testament
