The Elder Scrolls 6 is the upcoming expansive title from Bethesda Game Studios, yet nobody can expect it to release anytime soon. The anticipation for this RPG is ongoing, and it recently reached a noteworthy milestone.
Reddit user RoboPup pointed out that it has now been 2,403 days since The Elder Scrolls 6 was announced on June 10, 2018 (according to IGN). What does 2,403 days signify? It is also the number of days that passed after The Elder Scrolls 6’s trailer was released following the debut of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on November 11, 2011.
Starfield was the latest game launched by Bethesda Game Studios. The Elder Scrolls 6 is next in line, followed by Fallout 5 at some point thereafter. Bethesda, now a subsidiary of Microsoft, has yet to disclose release dates for any of its forthcoming titles, however.
Bethesda’s head Todd Howard has questioned whether it was wise to reveal The Elder Scrolls 6 so early. Former Bethesda member Bruce Nesmith remarked that Bethesda announced the game prematurely because fans were demanding information about the next installment in the Elder Scrolls series. Nesmith has also indicated that The Elder Scrolls 6 may struggle to meet the high expectations.
Bethesda’s decision to announce The Elder Scrolls 6 early was a shift in strategy for the company. Many may recall how Bethesda revealed Fallout 4 (after a series of leaks) in June 2015, and then released it just five months later in November 2015.
Another game that fans are eager to learn more about is Grand Theft Auto VI. Rockstar Games has not made any announcements regarding this game throughout 2024, leading to GTA 6 setting its own disappointing record.
