A fresh year on the calendar signifies that it is almost time for another exciting speedrunning event, as Awesome Games Done Quick 2025 is set to commence this Sunday. The marathon will be streamed on Twitch from the Wyndham Grand in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As usual, donations can be made to the End Cancer Foundation throughout the marathon via the Games Done Quick website, and prizes will be awarded to a fortunate few donors as the week progresses.

How to watch AGDQ 2025

All of AGDQ 2025 can be viewed on the official Games Done Quick Twitch channel, with the streaming expected to begin at 8:30 AM PT / 11:30 AM ET on Sunday, January 5. As runs finish, the GDQ YouTube channel uploads each race within hours of completion, allowing you to catch up on specific runs you might have missed.

AGDQ 2025 schedule highlights

AGDQ 2025 will take place from January 5-12, featuring a detailed lineup of speedruns scheduled to occur one right after the other (with a brief break in between). While the complete schedule is available on the event’s website, here we’ve highlighted a few runs—and their start times—that we are particularly excited about, whether it’s the first run for a game at an event like this or a classic retro title that we love to see get dissected. Someone will be playing Elden Ring using a saxophone—and honestly, following a dog hitting a walk-off home run during the greatest GDQ moment ever last summer, a jazzy Elden Ring run will surely be the most amusing follow-up.

A quick note: You might notice on the official schedule that some speedruns are marked as “bonus games.” This indicates that a specific donation amount must be reached in order to “unlock” that run for the marathon. Any games noted with an asterisk (*) below are classified as “bonus games,” so if you plan to donate during the event, you might want to time your contribution to help unlock that run. Would you like to see a speedrunner complete all romances in Fallout: New Vegas—in less than thirty minutes—on January 8? Be sure to donate!
