“Unlock the Exciting Lineup: January’s PlayStation Plus Games Revealed!”
Suicide Squad! Stanley Parable! Need for Speed!
Happy New Year to everyone! Here we are, in 2025, and Sony is launching the new year with its initial selection of monthly PlayStation Plus games.
The following trio of games will be accessible to all PlayStation Plus members across the service’s Premium, Extra, and Essential tiers:
- Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League | PS5
- Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered | PS4
- The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe | PS4, PS5
Gamers wishing to enjoy any of the aforementioned titles will be able to claim them starting January 7th. They will remain redeemable until February 3rd.
So, what about these games? Well, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is a reimagining of the acclaimed indie game from 2013, The Stanley Parable, and is certainly worth exploring if you haven’t already done so. As noted by the developers at Crows Crows Crows, “The Stanley Parable is a game that plays you”.
“When an average individual named Stanley realizes that his colleagues in the office have mysteriously disappeared, he embarks on a quest for answers,” reads the summary. “You will play as Stanley, and also not play as Stanley. You will make decisions, and your decisions will be taken from you. The game will conclude, yet the game will never conclude. Contradiction breeds contradiction, established gaming norms are disrupted, and then they are disrupted again. You are not here to win.”
Next, we have Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered (shown above), a “thrilling, socially competitive racing experience”.
Finally, we have Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. This title is, unfortunately, best known for being somewhat of a disappointment for Rocksteady and Warner Bros. Back in February of last year, Warner Bros. Discovery’s chief financial officer, Gunnar Wiedenfels, mentioned that Rocksteady’s release had “fallen short” of expectations. Warner Bros. later attributed a $200 million revenue loss to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Last month, Rocksteady confirmed the live-service game’s fourth post-launch season was officially its final, with no further content lined up.
It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Temtem to their collections.
