PlayStation has unveiled this month’s selection of complimentary video games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. All PS Plus members will be able to claim a set of three free titles starting January 7: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. If you haven’t redeemed December’s free PS Plus games yet, be sure to do so before next Tuesday.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was among several live-service games released last year that struggled to attract a player base, as this team-based adventure set in Gotham featuring various supervillains received a mixed reception upon its initial launch. After months of updates and the introduction of new characters into the game’s roster, its final season went live in December 2024.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is widely acknowledged as one of the best installments in EA’s racing franchise, and its remastered edition, released in 2020, introduced numerous impressive enhancements. Depending on which side of the law you choose to play, it remains an exciting racing experience filled with cool cars, stunning graphics, and thrilling vehicular mayhem.
In an odd yet captivating manner, The Stanley Parable is a unique game that you should approach with minimal information to avoid spoiling its absurdity. This is the Ultra Deluxe version of the game, a remake that significantly expands upon the original and essentially acts as a sequel in every regard, except its title.
If you missed it, you can also take a look at all the titles added to the Game Catalog for PS Plus Premium and Extra subscribers last month.
