If you are reading this on October 11th, 2024, then it was 30 years ago today that Final Fantasy 3 (known as VI) was released in North America. Several iconic games (Super Metroid, DKC, Earthworm Jim, Ridge Racer, and Doom II, to name a few) also celebrate their 30th Anniversary this year, but what distinguishes Final Fantasy VI for me is that I had the opportunity to play and complete it several months before its official launch.
