Pure Xbox’s Sports Game of the Year 2024: The Results You Missed

Including the number of votes received by Indiana Jones!

Yesterday, we unveiled our Pure Xbox Game of the Year results for 2024, with the winner declared as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle by a significant lead, while Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Hellblade 2 took second and third place.

The GOTY feature typically focuses on the games themselves rather than the details behind their rankings, so we’re using this article to share precisely how you voted for the top ten, as well as the titles that didn’t make the cut.

Let’s start by looking at the games that received the most votes this year. As you can see below, Indiana Jones led the polls decisively, but the latter half of the ranking was extremely close – here is a glimpse of how the voting concluded last Wednesday:

Game Votes Percentage
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle 579 13.72%
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 344 8.15%
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 276 6.54%
Stalker 2 225 5.33%
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 176 4.17%
Dragon’s Dogma 2 152 3.60%
Metaphor: ReFantazio 142 3.36%
Dragon Age: The Veilguard 131 3.10%
Star Wars Outlaws 124 2.94%
Death Stranding: Director’s Cut 107 2.53%

You might have been as surprised as we were to see titles like Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree miss the top ten, but the truth is they came so close to making the list!

Just a few votes separated the final positions in the table, and it’s unfortunate that some remarkable games fell short.

Here’s a look at the standings for 11th-25th, with the total vote count in parentheses:

There we have it – that’s what transpired! The Pure Xbox Game of the Year for 2024 is officially recorded, with Indiana Jones joining Starfield, Elden Ring, Halo Infinite, and Ori and the Will of the Wisps as past winners.

In 2025, we hope to be crowning Fable or perhaps DOOM: The Dark Ages as the ultimate champion next December, although realistically, it might be GTA 6 unless it faces delays! What do you think has a chance at the title next year? Also, do you agree with the Pure Xbox Game of the Year results overall? Let us know in the comments!
