Releasing in February 2025

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to deliver plenty of cooperative monster-hunting action on Xbox consoles in February 2025. Even before its release, Capcom has revealed the complete performance details for the Series X and S consoles.
On the more powerful Xbox Series X, Monster Hunter Wilds will feature two gameplay modes: a ‘Prioritize Graphics’ option running at 1728p / 30FPS and a ‘Prioritize Framerate’ option operating at 1080p / 60FPS. The Xbox Series S will have just one 1080p / 30FPS gameplay mode available at launch.
For those curious, Sony’s PS5 will operate with the exact same specifications as the Xbox Series X, so there won’t be any discrepancies there. We’d like to see a 60FPS mode for the Xbox Series S in the future, but considering the current specifications, it seems unlikely at this point.
Particularly as, well, even though we enjoyed our time with the beta last month, we did leave with some concerns regarding performance on Xbox; and that was encountered on Series X as well. Here’s hoping Capcom has ample time in the coming months to get Monster Hunter Wilds refined and meeting its Xbox performance milestones by February 28, 2025.
