Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh share remarkable chemistry in their touching romantic drama We Reside in Time, and the duo are already eager to join forces again.
In an interview with GamesRadar+, they share that they’ve been tossing around some concepts regarding what a future collaboration might look like. And even though both are Marvel stars – Pugh as Yelena Belova and Garfield as Spider-Man – it’s not a superhero partnership they are contemplating.
“Yeah, we were discussing that,” Garfield responds when we mention the possibility of another collaboration. “Absolutely, we have a great time dancing together. When you find a dance partner, you think, ‘Let’s continue this. What should we dance to next?’ Yes, we’re mulling it over, and although we’re unsure, there are some amusing ideas flying around.”
“Yeah, a cowboy-themed idea was mentioned,” Pugh chuckles, as Garfield adds: “Yes, something with a Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid vibe.” Naturally, that concept would clearly involve “on horseback,” they exclaim. “Yes, if anyone out there wants to make that happen,” Garfield beams. “Clint Eastwood, if you’re free?”
First and foremost, audiences can catch the pair in We Reside in Time, a romantic drama that explores time travel, following Tobias and Almut through various stages of their connection. It captures both the joyous and sorrowful moments, making it a moving film directed by Brooklyn’s John Crowley.
