Account delivers a counter offensive

Original Story: Currently, Fortnite functions more as a gaming platform than a traditional online game, and the new ‘Ballistic’ game mode further emphasizes this – it feels like a Counter-Strike experience integrated within the battle royale framework as an entirely separate adventure.
Ballistic — “a thrilling, round-based 5v5 game mode” — represents an entirely fresh experience within the Fortnite universe. The introduction of such an unexpected element in Fortnite isn’t new – yet it has intrigued us as it seems remarkably distinct from the typical chaotic shooting action that Fortnite usually provides.
The Ballistic mode will be available on all platforms starting December 11th in early access, with Account debuting with only one map; Skyline. Here’s a glimpse showcasing this new map/mode combination – which even that appears as if it were taken straight out of Valve’s FPS series – or possibly even Riot Games’ VALORANT for that matter.
Here is some additional information on Ballistic; offering further insight regarding the mode and what to anticipate in terms of Fortnite on Xbox this Wednesday:
“In Ballistic, players are divided into two teams at the start of the match: attackers and defenders. Attackers aim to plant a game-altering Rift Point Device at one of two locations on the map, while defenders put forth their best efforts to prevent the device from being planted and detonated.
There are no respawns in Ballistic — a round concludes if the Rift Point Device detonates, or if either team is entirely eliminated. After six rounds, players will switch roles, allowing defenders a chance to be attackers and vice versa. The game ends when either team has achieved a total of seven rounds!”
