Call of Duty’s Season 1 Reloaded update releases in Black Ops 6 and Warzone on December 5, and the patch notes reveal adjustments to multiplayer’s Ranked Play, along with some weapon balancing and killstreak updates for Warzone.

Moreover, Season 1 Reloaded features new multiplayer maps, three additional weapons to unlock, and Ranked Play for Warzone. The midseason patch will also be filled with festive events and limited-time occasions inspired by the upcoming holidays. You can discover more of the season’s highlights here, including further details on the new Citadelle des Morts Zombies map.

Additional bundles have also appeared in the store, featuring a stoner amphibian operator skin and the upcoming Squid Game collaboration.

Adjustments to controller sensitivity settings

As noted in the patch details, the developer has modified the controller stick sensitivity options across Black Ops 6 and Warzone.

The sensitivity sliders for the controller sticks have transitioned from a 1-20 scale to a 0.10-4.00 range. The developer asserts that this update will provide players “greater control over their sensitivity values and more clarity regarding the impact of their adjustments.” However, the previously set sensitivity options will remain unchanged.

Weapon balancing updates for multiplayer will arrive shortly

The developers indicate that weapon balancing is set to occur soon after the release of Season 1 Reloaded, and the patch will address some community feedback.

Upcoming adjustments include the following:

  • Increased headshot damage for fully automatic weapons
  • Complete removal of aim sway for sniper rifles
  • Decreases in visual recoil, sway, and bobbing

Multiple enhancements to Theater mode

The Season 1 Reloaded update addresses several issues in Black Ops 6’s Theater mode. These include crashes, a bug that led to a black screen appearing when attempting to view a file, and various problems related to scores or killstreaks not displaying correctly within the theater.

In addition, it modifies the Free Cam stream bindings for controller inputs, changing the controls from Up/Down to L1/R1.

Changes in multiplayer Ranked Play and new restrictions

Season 1 Reloaded introduces new restrictions to the multiplayer Ranked Play mode, aligning the rules with the professional Call of Duty League.

This update prohibits the following weapons:

  • Krig C assault rifle
  • Mannequin L assault rifle
  • XM4 assault rifle
  • Saug submachine gun
  • All sniper rifles

Additionally, smoke grenades and all magazine attachments for assault and submachine guns have also been banned.

The familiar Hacienda map returns in Season 1 Reloaded. This was a competitive map for the Black Ops 4 season of Call of Duty’s professional league, so it is not surprising to see the developers opting to include it in the competitive map rotation for Black Ops 6.

Hacienda is added as a CDL map for Hardpoint, Control, and Search and Destroy. The map will replace Rewind in the pool for Control.

Significant quality-of-life improvements for Zombies

The substantial update brings major quality-of-life enhancements for Zombies, with key highlights including alterations to Mangler spawns and special rounds.

Previously, late-game matches of Zombies could become overwhelmed with Manglers, making high-round attempts quite frustrating. Treyarch has stated that the update reduces Mangler spawns in mid-to-high rounds and has implemented a maximum cap on the number of active Manglers present in the game.

For special rounds involving Vermin or Parasites, the developer mentioned it has “significantly reduced” the size of these rounds by limiting the number of spawns and modifying the spawn delay rate for these enemies.

Warzone Ranked Play is introduced

Call of Duty’s competitive Ranked Play mode makes its return to Warzone. The developer indicates that this mode will become available on December 5, but the launch will occur shortly after the Season 1 Reloaded update.

Ranked Play is a trios mode for classic combat on Urzikstan. To gain access to this mode, players must first finish in the Top 15 in battle royale or the Top 6 in Resurgence across a total of 30 matches. Rankings from Season 1 will contribute toward this requirement.

Weapon Limitations for Warzone Ranked Play

Warzone incorporates the arsenal from MW2 and MW3, yet this year’s Ranked Play has placed limitations on trendy weapons.

Various restrictions on loadouts include thermal sights, under-barrel components, rapid-fire modifications, Dragon’s Breath modifications, and the Reinforcement Flare. The Birdseye, Alertness, and Specialist perks are also prohibited.

Bunker Buster Killstreak Modification

Season 1 Reloaded introduces changes to Warzone’s Bunker Buster killstreak. This update raises the maximum damage from 237 to 300, while reducing the minimum damage from 112 down to 50.

Moreover, a modification was made so that when a trophy system intercepts the Bunker Buster, it will inflict slightly less damage to account for the increased maximum damage.

Treyarch clarifies this modification by stating, “There is now a focus on precision with the delivery to maximize damage. In situations where the trophy system does not intercept, players can expect improved results for accurate hits and a substantial drop-off with inaccurate ones.”

Improvements for Assault Rifles in Warzone

The upcoming changes will enhance the handling of all Sad Ops 6 assault rifles to better support long-range engagements.

Additionally, it boosts some assault rifles that were underperforming in damage output. This includes the AK-74, AS-Val, and the Krig C assault rifle.

Enhancements for BO6 Marksman Rifles

All Sad Ops 6 marksman rifles receive enhancements for Warzone, featuring improved velocity and a 12% increase in reload speeds. Treyarch clarifies this adjustment by saying, “We aim to make marksman rifles more effective at longer distances, and to achieve this goal, we are increasing the velocity of Black Ops 6 marksman rifles.”

The comprehensive patch notes and more detailed weapon adjustments can be found below for Sad Ops 6 and Warzone, as published by Activision.

Sad Ops 6 Season 1 Reloaded Patch Notes

New Multiplayer Maps

  • Hacienda (6v6)
    • Last seen in Sad Ops 4, this classic competitive map returns, bringing Operators back to the dilapidated vineyard grounds. Combat takes place within an open-air, two-story mansion with scenic views of the immaculate courtyard below. Navigate through the grand lobby past the lion sculpture towards the showroom or venture out to the garden to keep the fight outdoors. On the opposite side of the estate, admire the built-in aquarium above the vault.
  • Racket (2v2, 6v6)
    • Get ready to crack the heart of the Luttazzi money laundering operation and strike them where it really impacts. Infiltrate this small underground bank vault, marked by a line of shattered tiles leading to the vault of gold bars. Damaged artworks and the defaced emblem of the Luttazzi family reveal not just greed but malicious intent. During the fight, however, set that aside — keep your senses alert and your head moving while navigating the map’s many tight corners and confined spaces.
  • Nuketown Holiday (6v6)
    • Nuketown receives a festive transformation for the holidays. Suit up in your winter gear and prepare some snowballs!

New Limited-Time Multiplayer Modes

  • Ran-Snack (December 12)
      • Swap gold for sweets in this festive limited-time mode that challenges teams to gather and deposit cookies. Collect cookies from the rotating crate and fallen Operators, then return them to your stash. Sabotage the enemy’s progress by consuming their cookies straight from their box. In the spirit of the season, your Operator also earns bonuses for depositing cookies, including a speed enhancement, quicker reloads, and faster health regeneration. The first team to reach the Collection Limit or acquire the most points when the Time Limit expires wins.
  • Infectious Holiday (December 12)
      • Even the undead are getting into the holiday spirit with zombies and fallen Operators dressed in festive attire in this amusing twist on the beloved Infected mode.

New Weapons

  • Maelstrom – Shotgun (Merry Mayhem Tournament Reward)
    • Dominate rooms with this rapid-firing full-auto Shotgun that bombards enemies with a barrage of lead. Ideal for the new Racket Strike map and any close quarters, the Maelstrom necessitates getting in close, as its substantial recoil and broad hip spread diminish effectiveness at range. If you can close the distance first, your enemies are finished.
  • AMR Mod 4 – Sniper Rifle (Archie’s Competition Frenzy Tournament Reward)
    • Eliminate opponents swiftly with this renowned Sniper Rifle that guarantees a one-shot kill targeting the upper body, excluding armor. Its high damage is counterbalanced by slow aim speed and heavy recoil, though these issues can be lessened with the right attachments. No matter how you customize it, this weapon is sure to deliver powerful hits.
  • Cleaver – Melee (Tournament Reward)
    • Slice through foes with the close-quarters Cleaver Melee weapon. Hack and slash using a blend of heavy and light attacks, equally effective against enemy Operators and the undead alike.

New Attachments

  • 3-Round Burst Mod Conversion (Merry Mayhem Tournament Reward)
    • Transform the XM4 Assault Rifle’s standard firing mode into a three-round burst, conserving ammunition and allowing for steadier aiming during prolonged firefights.
  • 3-Round Burst Mod Conversion (Archie’s Festive Frenzy Tournament Reward)
    • Enhance control of the rapid-fire Kompakt 92 SMG with a three-round burst standard firing mode. Each burst quickly transitions to the next, enabling consistent damage output when it’s needed the most.

New Multiplayer Perk & Wildcard

  • New Perk – Season Launch Window
    • Shrapnel Radar – Recon
      • Unlockable reward as part of the Merry Mayhem Tournament
      • Blast damage caused by area-of-effect Lethals, Tacticals, and Field Upgrades marks the injured target on your minimap.
  • New Wildcard – Unlocked In-Season
    • ExcessiveRoller
      • Add a fourth Scorestreak for use in Core 6v6 Multiplayer matchups. Works effectively with Assassin, Dispatcher, and Bankroll.

Unique Zombies Blueprint

  • Citadelle des Morts
    • A prominent ancient site in Avalon, the Citadel is avoided by locals due to its negative past and because it serves as a base for the criminal organization known as the French Syndicate. Established in the 1100s atop a leper colony, its construction was finalized a century later. In the 1300s, the rogue knight Guy de Saint Michel and his four enforcers seized control of the fortress, initiating a reign of terror that led to the formation of the Syndicate.

Unique Zombies Enemy

  • Doppelghast (Citadelle des Morts)
    • Acting as the next tier in the evolutionary progression of Dark Aether transformation, Doppelghasts are aggressive and exhibit erratic and disturbing movements, as if each head is vying for control over its body. They stagger, occasionally coil themselves to execute sudden and unpredictable maneuvers, and are typically faster than their lesser counterparts, thanks to their elongated limbs.

Unique Zombies Perk-A-Cola

  • Vulture Aid
    • Available for the first time since Black Ops II, consume a Vulture Aid Elixir when you spot the grotesque bird statue of a Perk-A-Cola machine, and you’ll notice an increase in the amount of loot dropped from enemies. Additional loot includes Essence Vials and limited Ammo drops. This is solely available (and visible) to the player actively using Vulture Aid. Maximize the power of the Perk by ensuring Augments are incorporated!
      • Vulture Aid can be found on Citadelle des Morts, along with the eight previously obtainable Zombies Perks. Note that these eight Perks are only accessible through a Der Wunderfizz machine.
      • Vulture Aid can also be located on the Liberty Falls and Terminus maps using the Der Wunderfizz machine.
      • Vulture Aid: Major Augments
        • Fetid Upgrade
          • Upon dying, zombies have a chance to generate a gas cloud that charges your Field Upgrade.
        • Smell of Death
          • Upon dying, zombies have a chance to create a gas cloud that renders you hidden while within it.
        • Parting Gift
          • Vulture Aid ammo drops provide extra ammo for Shock Weapons.
      • Vulture Aid: Minor Augments
        • Condor’s Reach
          • Automatically pick up loot from greater distances.
        • Carrion Bags
          • Notable kills have a chance to drop additional Salvage.
        • Selective Eater
          • Upon dying, zombies have an improved chance of dropping your current weapons.

Unique Zombies Ammo Mod

  • Light Heal
    • Projectiles inflict Light (elemental) damage. Each bullet has a chance to convert a standard or Special enemy’s health into a healing glyph that transfers to nearby wounded allies.
      • This Ammo Mod can be utilized in all three Zombies maps along with the previously available Ammo Mods, provided it is selected at an Arsenal Machine.
    • Unlocked as a reward during the Merry Mayhem Tournament.
    • Light Heal: Major Augments
      • Antibiotic
        • The healing glyph now damages enemies that come into contact with it, but its duration is reduced.
      • Wide Range
        • Light Heal can trigger on Elite enemies, dropping three additional healing glyphs.
      • Dual Recovery
        • Consuming a healing glyph allows you to heal more rapidly.
    • Light Heal: Minor Augments
      • Extended Duration
        • The lifespan of the healing glyph is increased.
      • Increased Power
        • The healing glyph restores more health when consumed.
      • Enhanced Transfer
        • Increase the distance that the glyph will transfer to an ally.

Unique Zombies Field Upgrade

  • Tesla Storm
    • For 10 seconds, lightning strikes connect to other players, electrifying and damaging standard enemies.
      • This Field Upgrade can be utilized in all three Zombies maps along with the previously available Field Upgrades, assuming it is chosen as part of your Loadout or swapped through the menu during a game.
    • Unlocked as a reward during the Merry Mayhem Tournament.
    • Tesla Storm: Major Augments
      • Transformer
        • The damage of the field increases with the number of allies linked.
      • Shockwave
        • Upon activation, stun and damage all nearby enemies.
      • Static Discharge
        • Upon activation, create a deadly surge of electricity around you.
    • Tesla Storm: Minor Augments
      • Energy Grid
        • Extend the range the electrical tether can connect to allies.
      • Overclocked
        • Your movement speed increases during Tesla Storm.
      • Lithium Charged
        • Extend the duration of Tesla Storm.

Unique GobbleGums

  • Energy Keg (Rare): Grants a Strong Energy Power-up.
    • Unlocked as a reward during the GobbleGum Mania Tournament.
  • Time Out (Ultra): Lasts for three minutes. Temporarily halts all New and Special enemies and ends the Round. New spawns will not resume during this period.
    • Unlocked as a reward during the GobbleGum Mania Tournament.
  • Holiday Cheer (Whimsical): Zombies are adorned with festive decorations.
    • Primarily unlocked during the Jingle Hells Limited Time Tournament, possibly whenever you earn GobbleGums through gameplay. Additionally unlocked randomly from a successful Exfil. Once obtained, Holiday Cheer GobbleGums will be retained (they do not expire) and can be used in any of the three available maps. Expect these to be earned even after the Holiday Season.

Unique Zombies Training Course

  • Arriving in Season 01 at Reloaded Launch, the Zombies Training Course allows you to grasp the basics whether you’re a brand-new or casual player, or brush up on your knowledge if you’re a more experienced player.
  • Refine your favorite weapons and drop into Liberty Falls, where the gruff Arsenal Machine Drill Sergeant provides you with challenging tasks as you navigate a series of varied “Location” flags scattered across the map. If uncertain about this game mode, check out the following stations to learn (and earn) various aspects of the game.
    • Killing Zombies: Discover how to eliminate zombies and replenish resources.
    • Blueprint Progression: Understand how to navigate the world and progress through rounds.
    • Powering Up Players: Enhance your strength and survivability with Perks and Armor.
    • Powering Up Weapons: Increase your lethality through weapon upgrades.

    • Decorate the Falls with festive greenery, as the Jingle Hells cheerful Limited Time Mode makes a comeback! Last seen in Black Ops Cold War, Jingle Hells places you into what may“`html

Additionally, it is optimistically known as a winter wonderland, as the entire theme of the Liberty Falls design is adorned with garlands, ribbons, sparkling lights, Christmas trees, fir tree bunting, and a light covering of snow. However, something feels a bit off… not to mention the melting heaps of slush tainted with gruesome remnants…
