Don’t forget this lightweight reminder!

For some time now, numerous classic Xbox games have been available for free on the Microsoft Store, particularly from the Xbox 360 era. Well, two of those titles are Crackdown 1 & 2, and there’s been a surge of social media chatter lately about them being available for free – so we thought we’d remind you once again.

Indeed, both of these Xbox 360 Crackdown games are — and have been for years — free for you to add to your Microsoft account on the current Xbox storefront. Xbox influencer Klobrille has shared about them recently and garnered quite a bit of attention – even they weren’t aware that these two games were free to download!

Many of you here are likely already aware of these two freebies, but clearly, not everyone in the Xbox community knows about this. If that’s the case, we’ll provide the Xbox links to these games below – it’s worth checking your account to ensure you have claimed them and linked them to your Xbox profile for future access.

It gets even better, truly. If you check the above store links, both of these games come with a variety of additional DLC that is also free to download. Even if you already own the games, it’s worth adding these DLC packs to your account just in case they are removed at any point in the future.

Crackdown and Crackdown 2 are completely playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S via backward compatibility as well, which is another great perk here. Anyway, if you weren’t aware of these two freebies, we hope you enjoy these classic Crackdown games – completely free on Xbox!
