Palworld Unveils Major Updates Amid Ongoing Terraria Crossover Excitement

The global pocket monster survival game Palworld is set to introduce a significant new update in December, featuring its most extensive new continent to date.

Additionally, Palworld has unveiled its first major crossover event, collaborating with the popular indie crafting game Terraria. The details of this collaboration are yet to be revealed, but images shared on social platforms this week show characters from both games interacting in anticipation of the crossover scheduled for 2025.

Before that, December’s update will introduce a new island to Palworld, described as “the largest, most brutal, and most enigmatic new island” to date, according to a social media post from the developer Pocketpair.

For reference, the area will be “approximately six times the size of Sakurajima!!!” the company added.

Currently, Palworld is also available at a 25 percent discount, likely timed for Black Friday, and before Nintendo’s lawsuit poses a risk of the game being discontinued.

Needless to say, all of this is occurring while Nintendo prepares its legal bid to confront Palworld and its developer Pocketpair over allegations that the latter has violated several gameplay patents. These patents include recently filed designs covering the throwing of a Pokéball-like object to capture a creature, a feature present in both Pokémon and Palworld.
