Although the Indiana Jones films may have concluded, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set to offer plenty of content for fans of the franchise. According to MachineGames, this forthcoming game will include nearly four hours of cutscenes, which is roughly equivalent to the runtime of two Indiana Jones films.
Axel Torvenius, the creative director at MachineGames, appeared as a guest on the MinnMax YouTube channel and revealed that The Great Circle features “a lot” of cutscenes that, when combined, run for “approximately three hours and 45 or 40 minutes or something like that.” He further noted that this will be “the largest and longest game that MachineGames has ever produced.”
Torvenius also mentioned that the storyline of The Great Circle remains largely unchanged from the concept that Bethesda director Todd Howard presented to George Lucas back in 2009, three years before Disney acquired Lucasfilm. Additionally, he stated that The Great Circle will not feature instant fails during stealth missions, which is a recent update for another title based on a Lucasfilm property, Star Wars Outlaws.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is scheduled to launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC on December 9. PlayStation 5 players are not being neglected; however, they will need to wait until Spring 2025 to enjoy the game. Nonetheless, gamers on all platforms can indulge in an Indiana Jones-themed menu currently available at IHOP’s International House of Pancakes restaurants.
