The timeline of Zelda has sparked various discussions and conjectures over time, and it seems that Nintendo has officially integrated the latest installment, Echoes of Wisdom.
This game traces Zelda’s latest journey within the ‘Hero is defeated’ timeline, positioning it after Tri Force Heroes and before the ‘Decline of the Hyrule Kingdom.’ Here is Nintendo’s official summary of Echoes of Wisdom within the timeline:
“The hero Link embarks on a mission to rescue Princess Zelda, who has been captured by Ganon. After an intense confrontation, Link overcomes Ganon, only to be engulfed by a strange rift. It seemed as if he had been taken away… Throughout Hyrule, additional mysterious rifts are appearing, abducting its citizens. No one is secure—not even the king and his advisors, who have also vanished. Princess Zelda must embark on a quest to save her father—the king of Hyrule—the people, and Link.”
