Unveiling the Extraordinary: The Inconceivable Four’s Tribute to Jim Lee’s Iconic X-Men #1

The Fantastic Four are finally back at the heart of the Marvel Universe thanks to the intriguing One World Under Doom storyline, where the FF’s greatest foe, Doctor Doom, has claimed the title of Sorcerer Supreme with ambitions of dominating the universe. To celebrate the primary role of Marvel’s “First Family” in this storyline, several of Marvel’s renowned artists have crafted variant covers featuring the members of the Fantastic Four reimagining various iconic Marvel Comics covers.

There’s a clear tribute to Jim Lee’s legendary cover for 1991’s X-Men #1, rendered by artist Michele Bandini for the cover of X-Men #10, along with a whole array of other familiar cover homages. These will be featured on the front of Marvel Comics throughout January, while the back of the comics will showcase the original covers that the FF issues are paying homage to.
