Dragon Age: The Veilguard Reveals Rich Lore and Character Depth Through Datamining Discoveries

Data miners have discovered the ages of Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s cast as provided by the developer BioWare.

Twitter/X user @amirdrassil has assembled a 27-page Google Docs document containing files allegedly uncovered within the game’s backend, including the ages and biographies of various Veilguard characters, some of whom we have met in earlier Dragon Age titles as well.

The information below might contain some spoilers, so proceed with caution!

As stated by @amirdrassil, these datamined descriptions may have been modified for various reasons, so it is advisable to take them with a grain of salt, particularly since they might stem from “discarded or modified storylines, meaning they may not coincide with the finalized narrative that the game presents.”

As confirmed by TheGamer, the datamined notes seem to have been included primarily for the development team’s reference and not for public knowledge. They indicate that the Inquisitor was around 30 years old, making them in their early 20s during Dragon Age: Inquisition, while Isabela is about 50 in Veilguard. Interestingly, at one point her appearance may have changed based on “how the player resolves her past.”

Morrigan is approximately 40, with notes suggesting her dialogue should reflect her “Morrigan-like” mannerisms. Solas, too, falls within the same age range.

New allies “girl-next-door” Harding, Emmrich, Lucanis – described as having a “hint of Italian” and being “lean, sinewy, attractive, yet troubled” – and Neve are around 29, 50, 36, and 30, respectively.
