When illumination encounters obscurity
Another week, another edition of Box Art Brawl!
Before we jump into this week’s showdown, let’s review how things unfolded last time. We focused on Double Dragon for the NES, and it was yet another thrilling contest. After gathering over 1,600 votes from our valued readers, the Western cover emerged victorious with 53% of the total votes. Well done!
This week, we’re moving to the GBA to explore Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land. A remake of Kirby’s Adventure, Nightmare in Dream Land was released towards the end of 2002, nearly a decade after the original NES version. Although the fundamental gameplay remained predominantly the same, it fully utilized the GBA’s more powerful specifications, featuring completely new visuals and a cooperative mode for up to four players.
