Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Unveils Latest Patch and Offers Stability Solutions for Enthusiastic Players
Developer Asobo has advised Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 enthusiasts to “relocate your community add-ons” if they encounter persistent stability issues or extended loading durations.
In an announcement attached to the 1.1.9.0 Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 release notes, Asobo highlighted that outdated add-ons in the Community Folder may negatively impact performance, suggesting that moving the add-ons to a different directory and restarting the game may resolve the issues.
“If you are playing on PC, outdated add-ons in your Community Folder may have an unanticipated effect on the game’s performance and behavior,” the notice stated. “If you experience stability problems or lengthy loading times, transfer your Community package(s) to a different folder prior to restarting the game.”
The update also addresses a bug that could occur when selecting “As Arrival” in the EFB, a problem that might manifest when “closing and opening the Camera menu after changing the Drone focus mode option to a value other than undefined”, in addition to “various” other crashes throughout the game.
A few additional “general” bug fixes have also been implemented, including the missing cursor on Xbox Live sign-in popup, an issue where you might lose focus when creating a new input profile, and a bug in which the aircraft selection is present in the control menu, but can only be altered from the homepage.
Furthermore, it rectifies a concern where players could get stuck when accessing the menu bar from any back page.
Earlier this week, the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 team issued an apology to its community for the game’s less than satisfactory launch, acknowledging, “this is not the release experience we desire for our players”, admitting it significantly underestimated the number of people eager to take flight in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 at launch.
