“I’ve made some of the most worst sport option choices,” says Xbox boss Phil Spencer

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has admitted he is made “the worst” choices “passing” on some of gaming’s finest franchises over time, including Bungie’s Destiny and Harmonix’s Guitar Hero.

In an interview called “Narrative Time with Phil Spencer” at PAX West over the weekend, Spencer unfolded about the games that mattered most to him over time, including Bungie’s 2014 sci-fi shooter, Destiny, in his list.

“There is so many blended emotions and reports for me round Destiny,” Spencer explained.

“Obviously, Bungie was once part of Microsoft after I started at Xbox, and I shared a ground with Alex Seropian [and] Jason Jones within the constructing that we were in Redmond. I learned a ton from exact being round Bungie.”

Despite his natural closeness to Bungie, Spencer admitted that Destiny “didn’t if truth be told click on” when he first performed it, and it took except the game’s first growth, Residence of Wolves, for it to “land” him.
