
2025’s Tokyo Indie Game Summit is the biggest yet, attracting 23,000 attendees
“Witnessing the enthusiasm of creators and fans unite in Kichijoji was truly motivating,” states the organizer.
Tokyo’s online and in-person indie game festival – the Tokyo Indie Game Summit – experienced over double last year’s attendance at its third event.
Activities included panel conversations with “indie game industry legends” Shuhei Yoshida and Shunji Mizutani, competitive gaming, game trailers, gameplay previews, “and much more.”
The two-day festival took place on March 8-9 and was hosted in Kichijoji, Tokyo. It showcased more than 200 carefully selected indie titles and conducted the first-ever Tokyo Indie Games Summit Award ceremony. While the summit drew 9,000 attendees last year, this year it welcomed over 23,000 guests.
